7,000 arrests a day in Saudi Arabia.
In Saudi Arabia, 7,500 people have been arrested in a day for violation of the law and labor laws. The Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Mansour al-Turki told a press conference on Thursday.
The country's security forces have launched an operation from Thursday against the law enforcement workers and law enforcement officials. Seven thousand detainees were arrested on the first day of the operation, according to a report in the Arab News.
Mansur al-Turki said that only the law-abiding law-breakers were not arrested in the operation, those who lived out of their resident documents were also detained.
He said the concerned authorities started the arrest operation from Thursday. Those Saudi firms who have engaged illegal labor will also be arrested. Those who are being arrested will not be considered as criminals. However, the deadline for those who have expired will be sent back as possible. Source: Arab News.
